Snohomish County Firefighters Pipes and Drums is a firefighter owned and operated pipe band in Snohomish County, Washington. Each member of SCFFPD is an active firefighter serving a
Fire Department within Snohomish County.
The band was established to promote brotherhood and increase the camaraderie of Snohomish County Firefighters by honoring tradition, and respecting those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
SCFFPD is not a competition band but plays for
funerals, weddings, graduation ceremonies,
parades, and other events. |
In May of 2007 firefighters from across Snohomish County came together to learn traditional piping and drumming music under the guidance of bagpipe instructor Neil Hubbard,
side instructor Scott Parker,
and bass/tenor instructor Allie Guerrero.
SCFFPD practices weekly at
Northview Community Church in Mill Creek, WA from 09:00-12:00 to maintain band proficiency.
Snohomish County Firefighters Pipes & Drums performs often across Snohomish County, and has had the opportunity to perform at memorials, ceremonies, and parades throughout Washington State. SCFFPD also travels to Colorado Springs for the I.A.F.F. Fallen Firefighter Memorial.
SCFFPD is a proud member of
Northwest Firefighters Pipe Band Association,
a large group of public service bands in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and
Northwest Canada. |
